Neutral MUA Lipstick (Shade 11)

I haven't bought any new makeup in a while, after vowing to start saving some money. But after getting down to my goal weight i went on an unintentional shopping trip with my mum. In celebration i treated myself to some new MUA products which i will be reviewing in stages over the next few weeks.

Today i kick off with this most beautiful lipstick.

I've been struggling to get a brown toned neutral that matched my shade of lip. I took a chance on this and it really paid off. This is mainly a brown shade but has an undertone of pink so it comes off as very warm toned lippy and very natural.

I have been wearing the shade every other day since i bought it, i am amazed at how versatile it is.
I am still amazed at what an utter bargain these lipsticks are! Just £1! And Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer on the whole range.

The packaging is sleek, the scent is pretty, the price is astounding....My vote: Get it!

I'll leave you with a few photos of me wearing this shade. Let me know what you think of the photos.

Do you wear MUA lipsticks? What's your favourite shade?

Black & White Photos...

Hey One and All, You may be able to tell from my new cover photo i had a mini photo shoot the other day.
Today i wanted to share with you some Black & White shots, I also have quite a few full colour shots to share with you but i'll put them in a separate post as i want to review the lipsticks i was wearing.

I am in no way trying to show off or say that i am the ultimate example of beauty, trust me...I'M NOT! But when you have some photos of yourself that you actually really like i think it's important to share them.

Please let me know what you think of the photos. As always stay healthy & beautiful,

Mac's 'Ravishing' lipstick

I was so excited to recieve my first Mac Lipstick! I very fortunately won a competition run by a fellow blogger, Hannah Roberts. She is truly a beautiful person and i seriously recommend her blog,  also following her on twitter. So here's the links:

I thank her so much that she gave me my first mac experience. I carry this lippy with me everywhere! :)

So let's get down to a review. I chose the shade 'Ravishing' in Creme sheen.

I decided upon the shade as i desperately wanted a nice subtle coral lippy and i wasn't disappointed with the shade when i saw it in person.

Also, how come no one ever comments on how AMAZING Mac Lippy's smell? Seriously, yum!

I was very impressed with the packaging, I love how it shimmers (oh dear, it sounds like i'm in love with a lipstick!)

The coral shade is very buildable which i prefer, so i can choose just how much of an impact i want to make.

Here's some photos of how it looks on my lips!
P.S I have a crooked smile, don't make fun of me...that's just mean!

This is the most long lasting lipstick that i have owned but of course i don't expect miracles, i do have to re-apply after a couple of hours!

There you are! I wanted to give this lovely shade a little bit of exposure, also the wonderful Hannah who allowed me this privledge! Please show her some love by checking out her blog.

NO MAKEUP DAYS!

Ahhh! No MAKEUP? Yes!

I have a regular habit of wearing no makeup atleast 2 days a week. Not only does this give your skin time to breathe but more importantly it helps you on the journey of self acceptance and self esteem.

No matter what anyone says every woman on this earth is beautiful. Seriously, if you're reading this, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. You just need time to realise it.

I am sharing a photo with you of me, today, wearing no makeup.
I moisturised, put some lip balm on and walked away from the mirror. Don't be afraid to let people see you without makeup. That's the real you.

Makeup can be a bit like a mask, and at one time or another it does need to be removed. I love makeup, I love how it can enhance your look. But that's all it does, ENHANCES what is already beautiful.

Please join me, even just for a day, in wearing no makeup. Enjoy it! Know that I love you all. Be good, be kind and share the love.

Beth's Everyday: Moisturizer

Hey my lovelies and welcome to a brand new series of blog posts that I am excited to write & share with you all.
I wanted to slowly introduce you all to the products that I use on either a daily or weekly basis.
I'll give them all a short review while I'm at it. That way you can learn all about the products I love & why I love them!
Lets kick it off with my moisturiser. It's called doublebass gel and it's available in most pharmacies/chemists or online. I always get the 500ml bottle as it has a pump (really handy!). That bottle would last me 6 months and I apply moisturiser twice a day (morning/night).
I have dry skin which this moisturizer does a great deal in combating against that. It can become oily if you put too much on so take about a pea size amount and use more if you need it.
It is fairly expensive but it's value and quality outweigh the price making it really worth it.
I'll post a photo of it too :)
I hope you'll enjoy this series of posts as much as I'll enjoy writing them.
Much love, have an amazing week,
Beth xxx
